Routing: which traffic goes through SingLinkVPN
What is the SingLinkVPN app allow/block list (proxy bypass), and how do I set it up?
#Proxy bypass lets chosen apps, domains or IP addresses skip SingLinkVPN and use your local network. It works in Fast Mode only. The per-app proxy, where you pick apps one by one, is available on Android only.
- Proxy bypass: apps, domains or IP addresses you add under Settings → Proxy Bypass skip SingLinkVPN and use the local network directly.
- Per-app proxy (app allow and block lists): added in Android 2.6. You choose from the apps installed on your phone which ones go through the proxy, which is more direct than setting rules by domain.
Typical uses: domestic apps that need the local network, banking and payment apps that trip risk controls when proxied, local-life apps that need your real region, latency-sensitive games, and company or home intranet services.
Steps
Proxy bypass
In the SingLinkVPN app, go to Settings → Proxy Bypass.
Add the apps, domains or IP addresses that should not go through SingLinkVPN.
Make sure you are in Fast Mode. Secure Mode is a global proxy, so bypass does not apply there.
Android: per-app proxyAndroid
In the SingLinkVPN Android app, tap the per-app proxy feature to open it.
Choose which apps go through the proxy and which do not.
Notes
- Options and their names differ by platform and app version, so follow what your own app shows.
- If some local apps do not work in Secure Mode, switch to Fast Mode and add those apps to proxy bypass.
What is the SingLinkVPN domain proxy, and which plans include it?
#The domain proxy lets you choose which domains are forced through SingLinkVPN and which use your local network directly. It is available on Plus and above, on iOS, Android and desktop.
- Platforms
- iOSAndroidWindowsmacOSLinux
- Plans
- Plus and above
For example, you can force the overseas sites you need for work through SingLinkVPN while your company intranet or local sites connect directly, without switching the whole connection for a single site.
- Custom domain proxying was added in iOS 2.5.1 and Android 2.5.8.
- On Windows, macOS and Linux it is available on Plus and above from 2.6.
Steps
Let chosen domains connect directly (skip SingLinkVPN)
In the SingLinkVPN app, go to Settings → Proxy Bypass.
Add the domains that should connect directly. Proxy bypass works in Fast Mode only.
Notes
- Where you set domains that are forced through SingLinkVPN, and which options you get, varies by platform and app version. Follow what your own app shows.

What is the SingLinkVPN mainland China proxy mode, and how do I use mainland apps from abroad?
#Mainland China proxy mode lets users outside mainland China reach apps and services from mainland China. Open the mainland proxy page in the app and turn it on. It is available on Android and desktop from 2.6.
- Platforms
- AndroidWindowsmacOSLinux
It suits people abroad who need apps or services offered only in mainland China, such as video and music apps limited to the mainland.
Steps
Android · Windows · macOS · Linux
In the SingLinkVPN app, open the mainland proxy page.
Turn on the mainland proxy.
Notes
- The exact name of the option and where it appears follow what your app shows.
- The iOS and Apple TV release notes do not list mainland China proxy mode so far; check what your app shows.
Exit IP
What is the SingLinkVPN chain proxy, and how do I import my own SOCKS5 proxy IP?
#The chain proxy lets SingLinkVPN carry the main connection, then uses your own SOCKS5 proxy or an official exit as the final public exit. It suits cases that need a fixed exit IP and is available on Plus and above.
- Platforms
- iOSAndroidWindowsmacOSLinux
- Plans
- Plus and above
The path is phone → SingLinkVPN node → your SOCKS5 exit → internet. You can change the main node for better connection quality, while your chosen SOCKS5 exit still decides the final public IP.
- Managing several accounts on third-party platforms, which helps reduce bot checks and account risk-control problems.
- Working with IP allowlists on company dashboards, API consoles and cloud servers.
- Keeping a consistent exit region for AI services such as ChatGPT and Claude.
- Testing websites, pages and products across regions.
Custom proxy chaining was added in iOS 2.5.1 and Android 2.5.8; on Windows, macOS and Linux it is available on Plus and above from 2.6.
Steps
Android: add a custom SOCKS5 exitAndroid
Open the Chain Proxy page in the app and tap the "+" button in the upper-right corner.
Enter a name, server, port, account and password. Use the real server address and port your SOCKS5 provider gave you.
Tap "Test and Add". The app tests the exit through an Auto SingLink node and saves it only if the test succeeds.
Go back to the Chain Proxy list, select the exit you added, and turn on "Enable Chain Proxy".
After connecting, look up your public IP to confirm the final exit is what you expect.
Notes
- The quality of a custom IP depends entirely on what you bought from the third-party provider. SingLinkVPN provides only the import entry and the exit route; it does not supply that IP and cannot guarantee its quality.
- Only SOCKS5 is supported for now, not HTTP or HTTPS proxies.
- An extra hop is not always faster and can be slower on some networks.
- A third-party SOCKS5 service is not covered by the SingLinkVPN no-logs audit. Choose a trusted provider with a clear privacy policy, and do not share screenshots that show real account details or passwords.
- On iOS and desktop, the entry point and options follow what your app shows.
Security and protection
Does SingLinkVPN have ad blocking and malicious-site protection, and how do I turn it on?
#Yes. Turn on the switch under Settings → Ad Blocking, and SingLinkVPN filters common ad and tracking domains while you are connected. Ad blocking is available on Plus and above.
- Plans
- Plus and above
Ad blocking reduces some web ads, lowers the risk of online tracking and can make some pages load faster. SingLinkVPN network protection also includes:
- Protection from malicious sites and software: detects and blocks some malicious programs, scam websites, dangerous domains and suspicious content.
- Malicious ad filtering: filters out some ad domains that carry scams, viruses, tracking code or malicious redirects.
- Safe browsing: reduces the risk of visiting known dangerous websites or malicious network services.
Steps
In the SingLinkVPN app, go to Settings → Ad Blocking.
Turn on the ad blocking switch.
Notes
- When you toggle ad blocking, the app may reload its network configuration once.
- This protection is not a substitute for dedicated antivirus software and cannot guarantee blocking every threat on the internet.

Notifications and network
Does SingLinkVPN support IPv6, and should I turn it on?
#Yes. IPv6 is supported from iOS 2.5.1 and Android 2.5.8. Turn it on only if your network properly supports IPv6; otherwise it can slow down your IPv4 traffic.
- Platforms
- iOSAndroid
If you are not sure whether your network supports IPv6, leave it off and check with your internet provider first.
Notes
- The name of the option and where it appears follow what your app shows. Whether the desktop apps offer an IPv6 option also follows what the app shows.
Common uses
How do I use the international version of TikTok with SingLinkVPN?
#Connect SingLinkVPN before opening TikTok, and pick a node by hand, such as the US, Japan or Singapore. Avoid Auto SingLink, because it may connect you to Hong Kong, where international TikTok is not available either.
Steps
iOS · Android
Remove the SIM card, restart the phone and connect to Wi-Fi.
Turn on SingLinkVPN first, then open TikTok. If you open TikTok first, it may detect your region and restrict access.
Pick a US, Japan, Singapore or similar node by hand instead of using Auto SingLink.
If you are already restricted, uninstall and reinstall TikTok, then start again from the first step.
Notes
- Before you start, check local law and TikTok terms of service; see Can I use a VPN where I live?

How do I reduce "less smart" answers and repeated checks on ChatGPT and Claude with SingLinkVPN?
#AI platforms weigh your IP, sign-in region, device and account history in risk checks. Stick to one node, choose a plan with higher-quality IPs, and use the chain proxy with your own SOCKS5 when you need a fixed exit.
- Stick to one node: avoid switching nodes or countries often; an exit region that keeps changing can look unusual.
- Choose your plan: Plus offers high-quality IPs and Pro offers enterprise-grade IPs.
- Use a fixed exit: with the chain proxy (Plus and above), import a SOCKS5 proxy you bought from a third party, so your final exit IP stays the same even when the main node changes.
- If problems have already started: try a node in another country, clear your browser cache and cookies, or wait a few hours.
There is not enough public evidence that a particular IP directly makes a model less capable; model versions, platform load and your AI subscription also affect the experience. These steps can reduce extra checks caused by a changing exit, but cannot guarantee they never happen.
This is separate from the SingLinkVPN anti-AI-analysis system, which helps stop others from using AI to analyze your data and traffic; it is not meant to improve AI answers.
Notes
- Follow each AI service’s supported countries and regions and its terms of use.
Will switching SingLinkVPN nodes get my third-party accounts banned?
#When you use a personal account normally, you generally will not be banned just for switching nodes. If you manage several accounts, stick to the same node, or use the chain proxy for a fixed exit IP.
Third-party accounts here means accounts on platforms such as X (Twitter), ChatGPT, Instagram and TikTok.
- Stick to the same node and give each account a fixed region.
- Avoid changing your IP address often or signing in from several countries within a short time.
- Manage multiple accounts with the chain proxy (Plus and above): import a SOCKS5 proxy IP you bought from a third party, which helps reduce bot checks and account risk controls.
Third-party accounts can also be restricted because of account quality, unusual sign-ins, automated activity, posts that break the rules, breaking the platform rules, or too many accounts on the same device or IP.
Notes
- Bans on third-party platforms are decided by those platforms. They are unrelated to SingLinkVPN, and SingLinkVPN cannot change a platform decision.
- If you need a dedicated exit, you can also order a custom node under Value-Added Services → Custom Nodes in the user dashboard.
