How we work

Decentralized, distributed management

SingLinkVPN does not have a team in a single location: core members, community contributors and volunteers are spread around the world and build and run the service through remote collaboration.

  1. 01

    Distributed team

Members are based in the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan, working across time zones.

  2. 02

    Community participation

Since 2023, the SingLink community and its decentralized governance have been run together with community engineers and volunteers worldwide.

  3. 03

    Co-founders

Several members are SingLink Community co-founders who drive the product and the community together with the core team.

Working as a distributed team is a modern way of organizing that internationally known brands such as Telegram and Binance also use.

Our purpose and principles

  1. 01

    Security concerns

The arrival of the AI era has accelerated the risks to network security and of privacy leaks. Against this backdrop, SingLinkVPN set out to give the community and internet users a tool for network security and personal privacy protection, reducing security incidents and personal privacy leaks, all through a simple one-tap connection.

  2. 02

    Real-world needs

The SingLinkVPN community often runs into problems in everyday situations. For example, many community members travel frequently between countries while keeping up their own internet development work, but sometimes cannot use their usual network for work in another region, and a VPN solves exactly this problem. So one of SingLinkVPN's original aims is to respond to an accelerating, globalized world by making working styles more flexible and helping users keep up their daily work conveniently, anytime.

  3. 03

    How we grow

Unlike ordinary VPN teams, SingLinkVPN is not run for profit; the team has chosen a different path. All income and resources are continuously invested in security research and maintenance costs, and in rewards for community contributors. Our research and development results are also reviewed regularly and then open-sourced, so the community can grow and improve them together.

  4. 04

    Legal boundaries

The SingLinkVPN team aims to help users be safer, protect their privacy and make their internet use more convenient and flexible, but only for lawful purposes. SingLinkVPN does not support illegal use, and users must not break local laws. SingLinkVPN is also not to be used in countries or regions where VPNs are not supported. Once detected, any illegal activity will be blocked from using the service, and SingLinkVPN has also adopted the SingLink Shield security system as its own protective measure against such use. SingLink Shield blocks malicious sites and abuse at the network level in real time, without recording user activity.
