SingLinkVPN Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 24, 2025
SingLinkVPN (the “Service”) is committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your personal information secure. This Privacy Policy explains how SINGAPORE SINGLINKTECH PTE. LTD. (referred to as “SingLinkTech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and safeguards your data when you use the SingLinkVPN application or visit our website. It also describes your rights regarding your personal data and how you can exercise those rights. By using SingLinkVPN, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We follow industry standard privacy practices (as used by leading VPN providers) to ensure your information is handled appropriately. Our guiding principle is to collect only the minimal data necessary to operate our VPN service at a high standard. We do not collect or log your VPN browsing activities. We cannot misuse or share data that we do not possess in the first place. Please read this policy carefully to understand how we protect your privacy.
1. Information We Collect and
No-Logs Policy
Account Information: When you register for SingLinkVPN, we require only minimal information to create an account. You will create an account credential (such as a username or a similar identifier) and a password. We do not require you to provide an email address or phone number for verification in order to register. This means you can use our service without sharing personally identifying contact information. If you choose to voluntarily provide contact details (for example, if you contact support via email), we will receive the information you provide, but this is optional and not required for using the VPN service.
Payment Information: To subscribe to SingLinkVPN’s premium features, you may need to provide payment details. We do not collect or store your full financial information (such as credit card numbers) on our own servers.
- For iOS users, all subscriptions and payments are handled through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. This means your payment information is collected and processed by Apple Inc., and is subject to Apple’s privacy and security policies. We receive confirmation of your purchase and a basic record (such as a transaction ID or subscription status) from Apple, but we do not see your credit card details or personal financial data.
- For Android (and other platforms such as Windows), subscriptions may be processed through the Google Play Store or other third-party payment processors. Similarly, those platforms handle your payment details under their own privacy safeguards. In some cases (for example, if you purchase via our website or a non-app platform), we may use a secure payment provider (such as a credit card processor or online payment service). These third-party payment processors will collect billing details (like your name, billing address, and payment method) to complete the transaction. We only receive limited information necessary to activate your subscription (for instance, a payment confirmation, your chosen plan, or an order reference). We do not store credit card numbers or bank account information on our systems. Please refer to the privacy policies of Apple, Google, or the specific payment processor used for more details on how they handle your payment data.
Service Usage Data (Minimal and Anonymous): SingLinkVPN adheres to a strict no-logs policy. We do not collect any information about your online activities that occur through the VPN tunnel. In order to operate the service and ensure quality, we may record minimal technical information on our servers, but never in a way that can identify what you do online. For example, our systems may monitor the total number of active connections or the server load, or basic aggregated statistics (such as the total amount of data transferred or successful connection attempts) to help us optimize network performance and support. This data is never tied to individual users and contains no details about your specific online behavior. We do not monitor, record, or store any of the following information:
- VPN Traffic Content: We do not log the websites you visit, the data you transmit, or any content of your internet traffic while connected to SingLinkVPN. This means we do not see or record your browsing history, the content of communications, or the applications you use through the VPN.
- DNS Queries: We do not log DNS requests made while you are connected to our VPN. Any domain name lookups you perform while using the Service are not recorded by us.
- IP Addresses and Connection Logs: We do not log your original source IP address (the IP from which you access our service) or the VPN IP address assigned to you when connected. We also do not record connection timestamps, session duration, or disconnection time. In short, we keep no connection logs that could link your identity to your VPN session.
- User Activity Logs: We do not collect any logs of your online activity, including no logging of traffic destinations (the servers, websites or IPs you connect to through the VPN), no inspection of data packets, and no usage content. We also do not use any persistent identifiers that could track your activity across sessions.
Our servers are configured to run without persistent user logs, ensuring that whatever you do online via SingLinkVPN stays private. Because we do not collect these sensitive details, we cannot share them with anyone — even if asked. This no-logs approach has become an industry standard for trusted VPN services, and SingLinkVPN upholds this standard to protect our users’ privacy.
Other Information You Provide: If you contact our support team (for example, by sending an email to our support address), we will collect the information you choose to give us in that correspondence, such as your email address (if you use it to contact us), and details of your support request. We use this information solely to assist you and resolve your inquiry. Support communications are kept confidential. We may also maintain records of your communication to improve our customer service. These support-related records are kept only as long as necessary (e.g., to address your issue and for any later reference in case of follow-up support), and are protected under the same privacy principles outlined in this policy.
Summary of Our No-Logs Commitment: Aside from the limited data described above (account credentials and subscription status, and optional support or diagnostic info), SingLinkVPN does not collect any data that can tie your personal identity to your VPN usage. We have engineered our systems from the ground up to avoid storing sensitive data. We cannot misuse data we never collect. This means that even if we were compelled by legal process, we have no VPN session logs or activity data to provide.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information we collect strictly for the following purposes:
- Providing the VPN Service: We use your account credentials to authenticate you and allow you to use SingLinkVPN. For example, when you log in and connect to our VPN servers, our system checks your account ID/username and password to ensure you are a registered user. Any minimal technical data (as described above) is used to establish and maintain your VPN connection and to ensure it operates correctly. We also use your information to enforce usage policies (e.g., to ensure one account isn’t concurrently used on more devices than allowed by our terms, if such limits exist).
- Managing Subscriptions and Payments: We process information related to your subscription to activate your paid VPN service, manage your account’s subscription status, and handle renewals or cancellations. This includes verifying that a purchase was completed via Apple, Google, or another payment platform, and enabling the corresponding VPN access for the duration of your subscription. We may also use your information to send you transactional communications, such as confirming that your payment was received, notifying you of subscription renewal dates, or alerting you of any issues with your account (for example, payment failures or changes in our service). These communications will be limited and are not promotional in nature – they are only to ensure you have uninterrupted service or to fulfill our contractual obligations to you.
- Customer Support and Communication: If you reach out for help, we will use the information you provided (like your support email and description of the problem) to troubleshoot issues, answer your questions, and improve your experience. For example, if you report a technical problem, our support and engineering teams might use error logs or diagnostic information (if available and only with your consent when needed) to identify and fix the issue. We may also inform you about critical updates or important information regarding the service (for instance, security updates or changes to terms), using the contact information available (if you provided an email for support or if we can notify you within the app). We do not send marketing emails since we do not require email for registration; we will only send you service-related messages or responses to your inquiries, unless you have separately opted in to some newsletter or marketing (which is not part of the default SingLinkVPN service).
- Service Improvement and Analytics: We continually strive to improve SingLinkVPN’s performance, reliability, and features. To do this, we may use anonymous, aggregated usage data and diagnostics. For example, we might analyze overall connection success rates, app crash reports, or general trends (such as peak usage times or the most popular server locations overall) to identify areas to optimize. These analytics are never linked to individual users. In some cases, we use third-party analytics tools to assist us (see the “Cookies and Third-Party Tools” section below), but this data does not include personal details – it is limited to technical information like device type, app version, or aggregate usage metrics. Any optional diagnostic data sharing from the app (such as an optional crash report feature) will be opt-in – you will have to explicitly enable it, and even then, the data collected will not contain personal identifiers or VPN usage details.
- Advertising and Marketing (Limited Use of Data): SingLinkTech uses third-party advertising platforms (such as Google Ads and Twitter Ads) to promote our Service to new users. However, we do not use your personal account data or VPN usage data for targeted advertising. We may use information about how our website is used (via cookies or pixels) to measure the effectiveness of our advertisements or to reach audiences that might be interested in SingLinkVPN. For instance, if you visit our website, we might later show you an ad about SingLinkVPN on Google or Twitter – this is done through cookies and tracking pixels, not by sharing any identifying information about you personally. Any marketing communications we send directly (if ever) would only be to users who have provided contact information and consented to receive such communications. By default, since we do not collect emails at signup, you will not receive marketing emails from us. Our use of advertising tools is mainly on our website for outreach and does not involve sharing your personal data like name or account details with advertisers.
- Preventing Fraud and Abuse: We may use information such as account activity and technical data to detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of our service. This includes safeguarding against unauthorized access to accounts, preventing misuse of our VPN servers (such as spamming or other illegal activities via our infrastructure), and enforcing our Terms of Service. For example, if we detect an unusual pattern that suggests a single account is being shared by many people (violating our terms), we may investigate using the limited data we have (account login timestamps or IP ranges) to identify the issue. Our goal is to protect SingLinkVPN and its users from activities that could compromise security or violate our terms. Any such use of data is done with great care for privacy and in line with our no-logs approach (since we have no detailed usage logs, our ability to analyze activities is very limited to just account-related events).
- Legal Compliance: If we are under a legal obligation to process certain data (for example, to comply with a valid subpoena or court order, or to meet financial and tax record-keeping requirements), we will use and disclose the minimal amount of information necessary to fulfill that obligation. For instance, financial regulations might require us to retain basic transaction records (e.g., proof of payment for subscription) for a certain period. Similarly, if law enforcement or a court demands information that we are legally compelled to provide, we may have to comply but we will only provide what we have. Due to our no-logs policy, we cannot provide data that we do not collect, and our response to such requests would be limited to account or payment information if available, not your VPN activity.
No Selling of Personal Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. All data collected is used solely to provide and improve our services and for the purposes outlined above. We may share information with third parties only in the ways described in this Privacy Policy (see next section on cookies and service providers) and never for those third parties’ own marketing use.
3. Cookies and Third-Party Tools
Like most online services, our website and app may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance functionality, analyze usage, and support our advertising campaigns. This section explains how we use these technologies and how third-party services are involved.
What Are Cookies: Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help websites remember information about your visit. SingLinkVPN’s website uses cookies to ensure it works correctly and to improve your experience. For example, cookies can remember your language preferences or keep you logged into an account portal (if we offer web account access). They also help us understand how visitors use our site so we can make improvements.
Types of Cookies We Use:
- Essential Cookies: These are necessary for our site to function and cannot be disabled without affecting the core functionality. For instance, if our website has a login page or a subscription purchase page, essential cookies might be used to keep you signed in during your session or to remember items in a shopping cart. We might also use an essential cookie to remember your cookie preferences (so if you opt out of certain cookies, we remember that choice).
- Analytics Cookies: We use these to collect anonymous information about how visitors use our website, which helps us improve our service. For example, we might use Google Analytics or a similar analytics tool. Analytics cookies allow us to see aggregated statistics such as which pages are most visited, how long users stay on the site, what country visitors are in, and how they arrived at our site. This information does not identify you personally – we do not see individual identities, and we do not combine analytics information with any personal data like account info. The analytics data helps us understand user interests and improve site content and navigation. Google Analytics, for instance, uses its own cookies to perform these services; Google may also use the data collected to improve their own services. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using a browser add-on provided by Google if you wish.
- Advertising Cookies (Marketing Cookies): These cookies are used to support our advertising and marketing efforts on third-party platforms. SingLinkTech advertises on platforms like Google and Twitter to reach new users. Advertising cookies help us deliver more relevant ads and measure their performance. For example:
- We use Google Ads cookies (such as the Google DoubleClick cookie) on our site. This cookie allows Google and its partners to show ads to people who have visited our website. It may track that you visited our site and then ensure you see a SingLinkVPN ad later on Google’s network. These cookies also help us measure ad campaigns (e.g., if you click on one of our Google ads and then sign up, the cookie helps us know that our ad was effective).
- We use Twitter Ads (X) tracking pixels/cookies. When you visit our site, a Twitter Ads pixel may record that you visited. This helps us show you relevant ads on Twitter (now known as X) and also lets us measure if our Twitter ad campaigns lead to visits or sign-ups on our site. The information shared with Twitter through this pixel does not include your personal details from SingLinkVPN, but it may inform Twitter that an unidentified user (linked to a browser cookie ID) visited our site.
- Similarly, we might use other marketing cookies or pixels from platforms like Facebook, X (Twitter), or other advertising networks if we run campaigns there, though the question specifically mentions Google and Twitter. These cookies work by identifying your browser or device via a random ID and tracking your browsing on our site and possibly other sites. They do not give us personal information like your name or email, but they enable the ad platforms to recognize your device and serve ads.
These third-party advertising and analytics partners may automatically receive certain technical information when their tools are activated on our site, such as your IP address, browser type, and which page on our site was visited. They use this information to provide their services (e.g., to target our ads or to generate anonymous usage statistics). We ensure that no sensitive personal data (like account details or VPN usage) is passed through these cookies.
Third-Party Tools and Services: In addition to cookies, we may integrate certain third-party services into our app or website:
- We may use analytics SDKs or crash reporting tools in our mobile/desktop apps (for example, tools like Firebase Analytics, or Sentry for crash logs) to help us understand app performance and stability. If used, these tools gather device information (like device model, OS version) and app events (like errors or which features are used), but not your browsing content or personal identities. Any diagnostic data is anonymized or aggregated. You will often have control via app settings to opt in or out of sharing diagnostic telemetry.
- Our website might include embedded content or scripts from partners (for example, a live chat widget, or social media share buttons). These could set cookies as well. If, for instance, we had a Twitter “Tweet” button or Facebook “Like” button on our site, those platforms might set a cookie to recognize you if you’re logged into their services. We currently primarily use advertising and analytics scripts as described, and any other third-party integration will be clearly indicated or covered by this policy.
Your Choices for Cookies: When you first visit our website, you might see a notification about cookie usage. You can choose to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Most web browsers also allow you to control cookies through their settings:
- You can set your browser to refuse all or certain cookies, or to prompt you before accepting a cookie. You can also delete cookies that have already been set. Please note that if you disable cookies entirely, some parts of our site (especially login or payment flows) might not work properly.
- To specifically opt out of Google’s advertising cookies, you can visit the Google Ads Settings page and adjust your preferences. Google also participates in industry opt-out platforms like the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) where you can opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies.
- For Twitter Ads (X), you can control whether Twitter shows you tailored ads using data from websites by adjusting your Twitter account’s privacy settings (under "Personalization and Data"). Twitter is also part of certain industry opt-out programs. Additionally, enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser may also be respected by Twitter’s analytics to some extent.
- If we use any other advertising cookies (like from Facebook or others), you can similarly opt out via those platforms’ settings or via universal opt-out tools (like the DAA site).
Third-Party Privacy Policies: The third-party services we use (Google, Twitter/X, etc.) have their own privacy policies which we encourage you to review. For example, see Google’s Privacy Policy to learn how Google uses data from sites or apps that use its services, and Twitter’s Privacy Policy for how it uses data for ads. We use these tools in a manner consistent with our own privacy commitments: we do not send them personal customer data from your use of our VPN service, and we configure them to protect anonymity as much as possible.
In summary, cookies and third-party tools on our site/app are used only to operate and improve our service and to conduct our advertising in a privacy-conscious way. You have control over these technologies via your browser or device settings, and using our site with cookies disabled will not affect the core VPN service (though site functionality may be limited).
4. Payment Processing and Financial Data
SingLinkTech uses reputable third-party platforms to handle all payments for SingLinkVPN. We take this approach to ensure your financial data is processed securely and in compliance with relevant standards (like PCI DSS for credit cards). Here’s how payment data is handled:
- Apple App Store (iOS): If you subscribe to SingLinkVPN through our iOS app, your purchase is processed by Apple. Your Apple ID account handles the transaction, and Apple may collect your payment method (e.g., credit card or Apple account balance) and billing details. Apple does not share your personal payment information with us. We receive a notification from Apple that a payment was made, along with information like the subscription tier you chose, the duration (e.g., monthly or annual), and the transaction ID or receipt. We use this to activate your premium VPN access. Apple may provide us with certain user details if you agreed (for example, Apple now allows users to share their email with apps or not; if you opted to hide your email, we won’t get it). Typically, we only see an anonymous identifier for your Apple subscription. Apple’s own Privacy Policy and App Store terms govern your data in this process. (You can review Apple’s privacy commitments on their website.)
- Google Play Store (Android): If you subscribe via the Google Play Store on Android, the transaction is handled by Google. Like Apple, Google will charge your saved payment method or otherwise process the payment. We do not receive your credit card info. Google provides us with information such as the fact that you purchased a subscription, the product identifier (e.g., “SingLinkVPN 1-month plan”), and an order number or transaction token. We use this to grant you access to the VPN service. Google might share with us the email address of your Google account if needed for subscription management, but since we don’t require an email for our own signup, we generally track the subscription on our side via the transaction ID and link it to your SingLinkVPN account internally. Google’s Privacy Policy and the Google Play terms apply to their handling of your payment data.
- Direct Credit Card / Other Payment Processors (Windows and others): If you are using SingLinkVPN on a platform where payment isn’t through Apple or Google (for example, if you purchase a subscription from our official website for use on Windows or other devices), we will use an external payment provider to process that payment. This could be a service like Stripe, PayPal, Paddle, or another payment gateway. When you enter your credit card or payment details, you are actually providing them to that third-party processor (via an embedded form or a redirect), and not directly to SingLinkTech. The payment processor will handle the transaction securely and may give us limited information such as:
- Confirmation that the payment was successful (so we can activate your account).
- The type of subscription or product you bought.
- Possibly your name or email if those are needed for receipts (for instance, some payment processors send receipt emails or require an email for the transaction). If we do receive your email or name through a payment process, we will treat it as personal data under this Privacy Policy, use it only for necessary communication (e.g., sending you a receipt or linking your subscription to an account), and not for marketing without your consent.
- A record ID or transaction reference for our bookkeeping.
We and our payment partners use this information to manage subscriptions (e.g., to know when your subscription expires or to process a refund if requested). We do not store your full credit card number, expiration date, or security code. The payment processor may store your payment method for future renewals (if you opted for recurring payments) under strict security, but we only have a token or reference to that stored payment method, not the details themselves.
We choose payment partners who are PCI-compliant and trustworthy to ensure your financial data is handled with industry-standard encryption and security. All transactions through our app or website are encrypted via HTTPS and any in-app purchases use the platform’s secure mechanisms.
Fraud Prevention: The information received during payment might be used for fraud screening. For example, the payment processor might automatically assess a transaction for fraud risk (using things like your IP region, card bank, etc.). If a transaction is flagged (e.g., high risk or suspected stolen card), we might be informed and the purchase might not go through. These measures protect both you and us from fraudulent charges.
Taxes and Records: We may retain some transaction data (purchase amount, date, country for tax purposes, etc.) as required for accounting, taxation, and legal compliance. For instance, if VAT/GST tax applies to your purchase, we must record which country you are in to handle taxes correctly. This kind of information is kept in our secure records but is not used to track your VPN usage or anything unrelated to payments. We keep payment records only as long as necessary for auditing and legal requirements.
Important: By making a purchase, you are also subject to the third-party payment platform’s terms and privacy policy. We encourage you to read those (for example, Apple’s or Google’s terms that you agree to when using their stores, or the privacy policy of a payment gateway like Stripe or PayPal if those are used). SingLinkTech is not responsible for the information those third parties collect directly from you during the payment process, but we do ensure we partner with reputable companies.
If you have questions about payment security or privacy, feel free to contact us via the support email provided in the Contact section. We take care to minimize what we collect and ensure your financial interactions with SingLinkVPN are safe and private.
5. Managing Your Account and Personal Data
We believe in transparency and giving users control over their own data. Since SingLinkVPN collects very limited personal data, managing your information is straightforward. Here are the ways you can view and control the data related to your account:
Accessing Your Account Information: You can log into your SingLinkVPN account (likely through our app, and if available, through our website’s user account portal) to view basic account details. Given that we do not require personal identifiers like your name or email for account creation, the information visible in your account may simply be:
- Your account ID or username.
- Your current subscription status and plan (e.g., whether you have a free account or an active subscription, and when it expires or renews).
- Settings or preferences (if any are stored server-side).
If you did provide any optional information (for instance, an email for contact or a profile detail), you would be able to see and update that in your account settings. For example, if we offered an option to add an email to receive connection alerts or newsletters, you could add or remove it. (By default, we have none, unless you choose to provide.)
Updating or Correcting Your Information: Because we keep minimal data, the main thing you might update is your password. You can change your password at any time through the app or account interface to keep your account secure. If we have an email on file (again, only if you provided one voluntarily), you could update it or change it as needed (for example, if you want to start receiving receipts or if you want to change a contact address). Any inaccuracies in your account data can be fixed by you directly if the interface allows, or by contacting our support for assistance.
Viewing Personal Data: If you want to know exactly what personal data we have about you, you can contact us (see Contact section) and request this information. Given our no-logs policy and minimal collection, typically the personal data we might have is just your account identifier, your hashed password (we store passwords securely in a hashed form, not plaintext), any subscription records associated with your account, and any contact or support info you provided. We will provide you with a summary of this data upon request (after verifying your identity to protect your account).
Account Dashboard: We intend to empower our users with an account dashboard where you can manage your subscription, see your connection devices, and possibly even download basic usage summaries (like how many connections made, etc., if provided). This would never include browsing logs (since we don’t have them), but it might show you things like last successful connection time or number of days used in a month – again, only if we implement such a feature for your interest. If such features exist, they will be visible when you log in.
Personal Data Portability: If you need to port your data (for example, under certain laws you can ask to get your data in a machine-readable format), we can provide your account-related data (like the info mentioned above) in a JSON or CSV format upon request. However, since we have very little personal info, this typically just means providing your account details and transaction history.
Deleting Your Account (Right to Erasure): You have the right to have your personal data deleted. You can request to delete your SingLinkVPN account at any time. The process may involve contacting our support (since we don’t require an email at signup, we may not have an automated way on the app to verify and delete without some communication). We might provide an in-app “Delete Account” option that will wipe your account data. Deleting your account will generally:
- Permanently remove your account credentials from our authentication system (so you can no longer log in).
- Remove or anonymize any associated data we have, such as subscription records linked to that account (we may still retain transaction records for legitimate business purposes as noted, but those would no longer be linked to a deleted account in a way that identifies you; for example, we might keep a record “Account XYZ had a payment on Jan 2025” for accounting, but after deletion we may only keep it under an anonymized internal ID for tax records).
- Erase any optional personal info (if any was provided) like contact email from our databases.
- Remove you from any mailing lists or communication lists.
Once deleted, the process is irreversible — you would have to register a new account to use the service again, and your old data cannot be recovered. Also note, if you delete your account while an active subscription is ongoing, you might lose access immediately without refund (depending on our Terms of Service and the platform’s refund policies), so consider cancelling any subscriptions first if you plan to delete the account. We will inform you of such implications when you request deletion so you can make an informed decision.
Opting Out of Communications: As mentioned, by default we hardly send any emails. But if you ever opted into a newsletter or provided contact info for updates, you can opt out at any time. Any marketing email from us (if we ever send one) will include an “unsubscribe” link. Transactional or essential service emails (like a payment receipt or important security notice) are not marketing – those you receive as part of service usage, but again, those are minimal. If you absolutely do not want any email from us, the easiest way is not to give us your email (which is fine for using the VPN). If you gave it and want to revoke it, just let us know or use an unsubscribe option if available.
Access from Multiple Devices: SingLinkVPN might allow you to use your account on multiple devices (say, a certain number of simultaneous connections). In your account or app, you might see a list of active sessions or connected devices if we provide that for management. That list might show device type or an internal device ID (for example “Device 1: Windows PC, connected” and “Device 2: Android phone, connected”). This is to help you manage your connections (you could log out a device remotely, etc.). Clearing or resetting this will be within your control in the app. Again, none of these reveal personal data – they’re under your secured account login.
In summary, you are in control of your account. We ensure you can access, correct, or delete your data easily. If you need any assistance with managing your personal information with SingLinkVPN, you can always contact our support team, and we will promptly help you according to the rights and procedures described in this Privacy Policy.
6. Security Measures
Security is at the core of SingLinkVPN. We take extensive measures to protect all data associated with our service, especially any personal information we hold. Although we deliberately minimize what we collect, we apply strong security practices to everything:
- Data Encryption: All communication between your device and our servers (for both the VPN traffic and any API or account-related traffic) is encrypted. The VPN connection itself uses industry-standard encryption protocols to protect your data in transit (so even your ISP or a public Wi-Fi hotspot cannot eavesdrop on your VPN traffic). Likewise, any sensitive data we store (like passwords) is encrypted or hashed. Passwords are stored using one-way cryptographic hash functions with salt, meaning even in the unlikely event of unauthorized access to our database, your actual password remains protected (and very difficult to crack). We never store passwords in plain text.
- Secure Infrastructure: Our servers and databases are hosted in secure environments. We utilize data centers and cloud providers that have strong physical and network security. We restrict access to our servers to authorized personnel only, and use firewalls and intrusion detection systems to guard against unauthorized access. We also segment and isolate data so that even internally, access is on a need-to-know basis. For example, the servers that handle VPN connections do not store personal account info, and vice versa; this compartmentalization adds an extra layer of protection.
- No-Logs Architecture: We have built our VPN server network with a focus on privacy. By design, our VPN servers do not retain logs of user activity (as detailed in the No-Logs Policy above). Many of our servers run on volatile memory (RAM) and not on persistent disks for sensitive operations, which means even if someone were to physically seize a server, there would be no logs saved on it. System and application logs on our VPN nodes are either disabled or kept extremely minimal (only what’s necessary for network monitoring and stability, and not including user-identifiable info) and are routinely overwritten. This architecture is a security feature: even in case of a breach, there’s little to no historical data to steal.
- Employee and Contractor Access: SingLinkTech’s team members are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and operate under the principle of least privilege. Only a very small number of senior staff have access to production systems, and even then, that access is limited and logged. Administrative access to servers requires multiple authentication factors. Our support team may access your account details (like subscription status or account ID) to assist you, but they cannot see sensitive information that isn’t collected (for instance, they can’t see any usage logs because none exist, and they cannot see passwords). Any access to data is done over secure channels and only for legitimate tasks.
- Third-Party Service Providers Security: When we use third-party services (such as payment processors or analytics services), we choose providers that are reputable and have strong security practices. We also ensure that any data shared with them is minimized and appropriately protected (often through encryption or pseudonymization). For example, if our app sends crash reports via a service like Sentry, we ensure it does not send any personal data in those reports. We contractually require our service providers to protect any data we share with them and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
- Regular Updates and Patching: We keep our software and systems up to date to protect against security vulnerabilities. Our servers and applications are regularly patched with security updates. We also run up-to-date antivirus or anti-malware where appropriate, and monitor for any suspicious activities in our systems.
- Testing and Audits: We conduct periodic security audits and tests on our infrastructure. This may include hiring independent security experts to perform penetration testing on our network and applications, as well as code reviews for our software to catch and fix potential security issues. We take any vulnerability reports seriously and patch issues as soon as possible. (In line with industry standards, we may also obtain independent audits of our no-logs claims to verify our processes – if and when we do, we will share those results or the fact of those audits on our website to maintain transparency.)
- Data Breach Response: Despite all these measures, no system is 100% immune to incidents. We have a Data Breach Response Plan in place. In the unlikely event of a security breach that affects your personal data, we will act promptly to contain and remediate the issue. We will also notify users and the appropriate authorities as required by law. Because we store very little personal data, the risk and impact of a breach are greatly reduced, but we nonetheless prepare for worst-case scenarios to ensure we can protect our users.
- User Responsibilities: We also encourage you to take steps to secure your own account. Choose a strong, unique password for SingLinkVPN and do not share it. We will never ask you for your password via email or unsolicited communication. If you suspect any unauthorized access to your account, inform us immediately. We also recommend keeping your devices secure (use PINs/passwords, update your OS regularly, etc.), as the security of the VPN connection can be undermined if your device itself is compromised.
In summary, we employ state-of-the-art security practices to safeguard your data and our service. Protecting user privacy and data security is an integral part of our company’s mission. We continually update and improve our security measures to adapt to new threats and ensure that SingLinkVPN remains a secure and trustworthy service for our users.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain legal rights with regard to your personal data. SingLinkVPN is designed to be compliant with major data protection laws, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of Singapore (as we are a Singapore company) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union for users in the EU, as well as other similar laws in different regions (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the USA, etc.). We extend the spirit of these rights to all our users wherever feasible, because we believe you should have control over your information. These rights include:
- Right to Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. As described, this will likely be very limited (account and subscription info). We will provide this to you in a common format (usually electronic) upon verification of your identity and within a reasonable time frame.
- Right to Rectification: If any personal data we have is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected. In practice, since we have minimal data, this could involve updating an email address you provided or correcting a spelling on your username if we allow that. You can make most corrections yourself via your account settings, or you can ask us to assist.
- Right to Erasure: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data (the "right to be forgotten"). As noted in the “Managing Your Account” section, you can delete your account, which will remove personal data we hold (except for data we are obligated to keep for legal reasons). If you request erasure, we will delete the data that we are not required to maintain and let you know once it’s done. Keep in mind, if you delete your data/account, you will lose access to the service and any remaining subscription time, and we will not be able to recover the account.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to ask us to restrict or pause processing of your data in certain circumstances. For example, if you contest the accuracy of data we have about you or have objected to processing (see below), you can request a restriction until the issue is resolved. Given our limited processing, this right might apply in a scenario like: you provided an email and then object to receiving any communication; we could mark it to not process (i.e., ensure you get no emails) without deleting the account entirely. We will honor such requests where applicable.
- Right to Object: You have the right to object to certain types of processing of your data. For example, if we were to process your data for direct marketing (which we generally do not, unless you opted in), you can object and we will stop. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests in some cases. With SingLinkVPN, the primary processing is to provide service (contractual) and legitimate interests like improving service. If you have an objection, we will review it and either cease the processing or explain why we believe we have a compelling legitimate ground to continue (in compliance with law). For instance, if you object to us using a minimal data point for improving service, we might agree and stop including your data in analysis (if identifiable), or if impossible, we might say the only solution is to not use the service since processing that data is inherent to providing it. We aim to find a privacy-friendly resolution.
- Right to Data Portability: You can request that we provide your personal data to you (or to a third party you specify) in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. This typically would apply to data you provided to us (not to the data we generated). In our case, since you don’t provide much data, it might simply be your account info and any optional info. We can provide it likely in a text or JSON format. This right is mostly relevant for services where you might want to move your data to a competitor; with VPNs, there’s not much to port, but the right is yours nonetheless.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: In cases where we rely on your consent to process data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. For SingLinkVPN, the main place this might apply is with cookies or optional diagnostics. For example, if you consented to optional crash reporting in the app, you can turn that off any time in the app settings, or if you consented to marketing cookies on our website, you can withdraw that by changing your cookie settings (we will honor that and stop using those cookies). Withdrawing consent does not affect the legality of any processing we did before you withdrew it, and it might mean some services/features are limited (e.g., turning off crash reports means we won’t get data to fix a bug you encounter unless you manually report it).
- Right not to be Subject to Automated Decisions: We do not make any automated decisions about you that have legal or significant effects (such as profiling or credit decisions). VPN service usage is not subject to automated decision-making beyond basic network optimizations that apply to all users. If that ever changes, you would have a right to not be subject to such decisions without human intervention.
- Right to Complain: If you believe your rights have been infringed or you have a concern about how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
- If you are in the European Union, you can contact the data protection authority in your country (for example, the CNIL in France, the ICO in the UK, etc.).
- In Singapore, you can reach out to the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) if needed.
- In California/USA, if applicable, you can contact the California Attorney General or use the dispute resolution mechanism under CCPA.We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns directly first. We take privacy seriously and will do our best to resolve any issue you bring to us.
These rights are subject to certain legal limitations. For example, we might not be able to delete data that we are required by law to keep (such as financial transaction records), or we might refuse a request to access data if we have no way to verify the requester’s identity (to prevent unauthorized data access). We will inform you if any such limitations apply when we respond to your request.
To exercise any of your rights, you can contact us at support@singlinkvpn.com. We may need to verify your identity (to make sure we don’t give your data to someone else by mistake). For instance, if you email us from the support address you previously used or provide info about your account, we may ask you to verify a recent connection or provide the account ID to ensure you are the account holder. We will respond to all legitimate requests as soon as possible, and in any case within any timelines set by applicable law (for example, under GDPR we aim for within 30 days).
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Using SingLinkVPN should provide you with strong privacy by default, and these rights are additional safeguards in your favor.
Note for California Residents: While SingLinkVPN does not collect the kind of personal information that is usually subject to CCPA (like we do not have your name, email, or phone by default, and we do not sell data), if the law applies and you have a formal request under CCPA, we will honor the relevant rights (which largely overlap with those above). Notably, we reiterate that we do not sell personal information, so the CCPA “right to opt-out of sale” is not needed in practice for SingLinkVPN.
By using our service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy, including the rights you have concerning your personal data. We are here to help if you have any questions or requests related to your privacy.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will do the following:
- Notification of Changes: We will post the updated Privacy Policy on our website (and within the app where applicable) with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are significant, we will make that notice more prominent — for example, we might display a banner on our website or a notification in the app to inform you of the update. In some cases, if the changes materially affect your rights or the way we use personal data, we may also notify you via email (if we have your email contact) or via an in-app message.
- Review Period (if applicable): For substantial changes, we might provide an opportunity for you to review the updated policy before it becomes effective. If required by law, we will obtain your consent for significant privacy policy changes (for example, if a change would require new consent under GDPR).
- Continued Use = Acceptance: If you continue to use SingLinkVPN after the updated Privacy Policy has become effective, it will signify your acceptance of the changes. However, if any change requires your explicit consent, we will specifically ask for that (for instance, if we ever decided to collect additional personal info, which we currently do not, we would ask for your consent before doing so).
- Historical Versions: For transparency, we may keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy available (for example, on our website’s legal section) so you can see what changed. We will archive them as reference.
We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about how we are protecting your data. This Privacy Policy is easily accessible on our website (and likely via the app’s settings or about section).
If you do not agree with any updates to the Privacy Policy, you should stop using the Service and, if you wish, delete your account as outlined above. If you have any questions about the changes, feel free to reach out to us for clarification.
